Volleyball for adults

Beginner volleyball

The recreational volleyball group for beginners has initially been set up as an informal training session until we find a coach. Practice is held on Mondays from 20:00 – 21:30 on one of the courts in the Flatow Sports[A1]  Hall. It is a mixed group with players of different ages. The participants get involved in the practice games depending on their abilities and physical fitness. The aim is for the participants to improve their basic volleyball techniques with receiving the ball, setting and spiking.

Volleyball for advanced players I

In the recreational volleyball group for advanced players I, the focus is on playing and having fun. Strong playing techniques with good ball control are required. Practice is held on Fridays from 19:30 – 21:30 on one of the courts in the Flatow Sports Hall. It is a mixed group with players of different ages. Participants can be aged 18 and above. The participants can usually choose which warm-up exercises they wish to do. The remaining time is used for playing sets of volleyball.

Please direct enquiries about available courts to the volleyball coordinator for the time being.

Volleyball for advanced players II

In the recreational volleyball group for advanced players II, the focus is on training exercises in addition to playing and having fun. However, mastery of the playing techniques with confident ball control is a requirement. Practice is held on Tuesdays from 19:30 – 21:30 on one of the courts in the Flatow Sports Hall. It is a mixed group with players of different ages. Participants can be aged 18 and above. The players are usually left to run their own warm-up exercises. This is followed by occasional shorter (player-coach) training sessions. The training includes improving overhand and underhand serving, receiving, blocking and defence, as well as game structure and tactics. The remaining time is used for playing sets of volleyball.
